Sexual Harassment and its Growing Numbers

The recent sad and unsettling news of Sarah Everard’s death has bought up the discussion and awareness of the high numbers of increase in sexual harassment within the UK and how 97% of women have experienced some type of harassment. Following this, many have demanded that a solution needs to be found aside from simply telling women to follow certain guidelines and safety precautions. These precautions are no longer enough and, arguably, perhaps they never were enough.

Women are often blamed for attracting harassment, but growing numbers raise the question of whether it is really the women to blame, or the failure of wider society and men?
